

Guidelines
When evaluating players in a scrimmage game on a small field, the following skills should be considered and commented on:
Controls ball during dribbling
Uses both feet
Uses different parts of feet
Speed, balance and agility
First touch has direction and control
Passes with correct strength and accuracy
Ability to make tackles
Good decisions on when to tackle
Ability to take defender on by dribble when attacking
Recognizes when to hold ball or penetrate defense with pass
When evaluating players in a scrimmage game on a large field, the following skills should be considered and commented on:
Holds position on field
Sees entire field, changes field when appropriate
Passes with correct strength and accuracy
Speed with ball and without ball
Shoots with accuracy and strength
Balance and agility
Power and explosiveness
Stamina
Supports attack well with timing and choice of runs
Ability to take defender on with dribble or pass
Gets back on defense when needed
Ability to win ball back on defense
The following psychological items should be considered and commented on:
Concentration and focus
Team player
Communication
Attitude
Work ethic
